Method | The subject lies supine with the hips and knees fully extended and parallel. Using a tape measure, the examiner measures from the most distal point of the ASIS to the most distal point of the medial malleolus. A difference of more than 1 cm is indicative of discrepancies in either the length of the femur or tibia, or in the angle of the femoral neck inclination. |
