Ankle Eversion Test

Orthopedic Test Ankle Eversion Test
Method The subject lies on the uninvolved side on a table with the involved foot relaxed and the knee flexed to 90 degrees. The examiner places the foot in the anatomical neutral position, then tilts the talus into an abducted position. Range of motion in the abducted position on the involved foot greater than that of the uninvolved foot reveals a positive test and suggests a tear of the deltoid ligament of the ankle.
