Method The subject lies supine on the table with the involved shoulder in 90 degrees of abduction and the elbow in 90 degrees of flexion. The examiner slowly externally rotates the shoulder. A positive finding is a ??look of apprehension? on the subject's face toward further movement in the externally rotated direction and may suggest instability of the glenohumeral joint.
